iHomeNerd
iHomeNerd is meant to be a public and free local AI brain.
Privacy here means your household data stays on your hardware.
This staging URL is the current public preview page, not a private
admin console, signup wall, or billing flow. This page is the canonical
summary of the current trial paths.
What you can do today: use Docker on a spare Linux machine or a
headless Linux box you already reach over SSH, with trusted-AI guidance
if you are an early adopter; run the compatibility check; compare Docker,
VM, and live-image paths; or connect directly to a Brain already running
on your LAN.
Current Docker reality: this is still a repo-based path. Do not assume
there is already a polished one-line docker run image. If an AI cannot
point to the exact repo files or installer script, treat it as guessing.
The public target-machine installer today is bash get-ihomenerd.sh. The
Command Center uses https on port 17777 and setup/bootstrap uses http
on port 17778.
Hardware decision tree: if your busy Windows or Mac laptop is your daily
machine, wait for the guided VM. If you have a spare mini-PC or wipeable
Linux machine, Docker is reasonable now. If the target is a mystery gaming
rig or unknown-state box, wait for the live image instead of improvising.
Safety note: Docker still changes the host machine. Use a spare, wipeable,
or SSH-accessible Linux target first, not your main Windows or Mac install.
